This year’s 2018-19 National Football League will mark it’s 99th season for the League since being founded in 1920. As the highest professional league in American football, the Football League is contested by 32 of the best teams from the AFC and NFC through a 17-week regular season. After which, the best 6 teams will then advance to the playoffs to compete through a single-elimation tournament, all for a chance at this season’s prestigious Super Bowl LIII.
The NFL’s 65-game Preseason has already started since 2 August and will conclude on 31 August 2018. As usual, this is just a precursor to the main 256-game Regular Season commencing on 6 September 2018 and finally kicking off with the Playoffs on 5 January 2019. With the best teams from the AFC and NFC, the Super Bowl LIII (2019) hosted at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be the final showdown of the NFL season on 3 February 2019.
Live coverage of selected games will be available through Sky Sports while BBC Sport’s The NFL Show will be providing free highlights throughout the season (excluding preseason games). In the U.S, the usual suspects (CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC) will share broadcast rights and NFL’s Game Pass will be available globally. There are also many other providers offering the live coverage as well. Here are the match coverage breakdown for the different countries:
