Sign up to My Private Network now for immediate access to our VPN network and you won’t need to download any VPN software if you’re using Windows. We’ve made getting started really simple, and it’s just a question of using Windows’ own network controls to create a new connection to the internet. VPN software is required if you’re using Apple hardware and OSX – but the iPad and iPhone will connect without the need for extra VPN software.
We’ve provided comprehensive guides to connect to our VPN network for all the common operating systems – including Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 & 10), Linux, Android and Apple – with step-by-step instructions that will get you online and browsing the internet via VPN quickly and easily.
If you need to download the VPN software for use with Mac OSX, you’ll find it under the Apple installation instructions – we’ve chosen Open Source VPN software called Tunnelblick, and we’ve provided pre-configured versions for you to download that connect to our VPN network of all our servers around the world. We offer extra config files for each destination you wish to connect to, though you will need to have our Global Plan enabled for connection to multiple locations.
When you connect to our VPN network you’re basically creating a secure, encrypted tunnel from your PC or web-enabled device, direct to our VPN servers – using your operating system’s own controls or the Tunnelblick VPN software. This gives you a fast, private internet connection that protects you from eavesdropping and activity monitoring, so you can explore the net freely without censorship or artificial boundaries.
If you have any questions or are stuck on any of the steps connecting to the internet, VPN support is available to answer any question you have, and our team of experts are intimately familiar with all aspects of the VPN network and associated VPN software.
