Ever wonder if your email has been hacked?
Whether you know it or not, there is a chance that you email has been involved in a leak (or as some like to put “pwned”) at some point in time. Many big time companies like LinkedIN & MySpace have had their databases hacked and personal emails put up for auction on the internet – and yours might have been one of them.
Luckily, there are sites out there that can take your email address and run it through all the known leaks to see whether or not yours was apart of the unlucky users.
haveibeenpwned.com is a very convenient site that allows you to enter your email password and it will then search it’s API to tell you whether it’s been hacked or not. Even more, if you account has been “pwned”, this site will let you know which website it was that leaked it.
Go run your personal and work emails and keep your fingers crossed!
