OSX - Tunnelblick - Internet does not work when connected

If you are using Tunnelblick on your Mac and it appears to connect but you cannot seem to access the Internet once you have connected, then it could be an issue with the DNS setup.

This means that once you connect to our network, you are unable to convert site names (i.e. www.google.com) into the numeric address that your computer needs in order to connect.

To resolve this, please click on the Tunnelblick icon in the taskbar and choose Details. On the Details window you should see the Set NameServer option, please ensure this is enabled and then re-connect.

Note: If you’re using Tunnelblick version 3.1 and above, please click on the Tunnelblick icon in the taskbar and choose VPN Details.

On the Details window, click on Settings. Now you should see the Set DNS/WINS option, please ensure this is set to Set nameserver and then re-connect.

If that does not work, please click on the Set nameserver to expand the options set it to nameserver (3.0b10) and re-connect.

Give that a try and if you have any further problems, please send us an email to [email protected] and we will do our very best to assist you.
