This page will guide you through clearing the cache on your iPad. You might want to do this if you’re experiencing intermittent issues with your iPad’s Safari browser.

To clear the cache on your iPad, follow the steps below.

(These instructions are made using an iPad 2 with iOS 7, but the basic principals should apply to all versions of iPads.)


Step 1: Get Started

 

From the main screen, click on Settings.

 

Your iPad Settings menu should now be displayed.


Step 2: Clearing Cache

 

Select the option labelled Safari and tap on Clear Cookies and Data.

 

A pop up message will appear to confirm your choice.

Tap Clear to proceed.

 

Repeat the steps above for Clear History.


Step 3: Cache Cleared

 

Congratulations! You’ve now successfully cleared all cache and cookies from your iPad!
